Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: September 2026 • NextStep ProShift

1. Commitment to Digital Inclusion

NextStep ProShift is committed to ensuring that our digital presence is accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities, visual impairments, motor challenges, and cognitive differences. We strive to provide an inclusive web experience that adheres to universal design principles and industry standards.

2. Conformance Standard (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)

Our web interface has been engineered to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Our automated and manual QA processes continuously evaluate the site against these criteria to deliver an optimal experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

3. Built-In Accessibility Features

We have integrated the following accessibility measures throughout the entire NextStep ProShift website:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive components—including navigations, dropdowns, calculators, and assessment wizards—are fully operable via standard keyboard shortcuts (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Spacebar, Escape).
  • High-Contrast Ratios: Colors across both light and dark modes are calibrated to exceed WCAG contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large headings and UI controls).
  • Semantic HTML5 Structure: Logical document hierarchy utilizing landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <section>, <footer>) and singular <h1> heading flow.
  • Screen Reader Optimization: Descriptive aria-label tags on icon-only buttons, SVG graphics, modal dialogs, and interactive widgets.
  • Skip to Content Link: An instant skip link is available as the first focusable element on every page for quick navigation past repetitive headers.
  • Responsive & Resizable Text: Our design supports browser text zooming up to 200% without loss of content or breaking layout boundaries.
  • Descriptive Alt Text: All contextual images, architectural diagrams, and infrastructure showcases include descriptive alternative text.

4. Continuous Testing & Monitoring

Our continuous integration pipelines run automated audits via Google Lighthouse and automated DOM linters on every release to maintain a 100/100 Accessibility score and prevent regression.

5. Feedback & Assistance
